SDDC Free Tree Scheme 2021
We're pleased to announce that this year's South Derbyshire District Council and The National Forest Free Tree Scheme will be open for applications between Monday 4th Oct and Sunday 31st Oct. www.southderbyshire.gov.uk/freetreescheme
We're supporting the Queen's Green Canopy project to ''Plant a Tree for the Jubilee'' as part of our project this year in preparation for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in 2022. So as well as choosing attractive, wildlife-friendly trees that are suitable for gardens we have themed them to the Jubilee by choosing trees with red, white or blue colours. As usual residents will be able to apply for up to 2 free trees and businesses, schools, Parish Councils and voluntary groups are eligible for up to 10.
Please join in when the scheme opens on Monday! Please share.
We'd love to share and help promote any environmental projects you are planning for the Jubilee. Please join our network group and use it for any environmental queries, ideas or requests for help. It's an active and helpful virtual community with over 20 location organisations represented already: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SouthDerbysEnvironmentalForum
There will also be a link to the Free Tree Scheme in that group, and on our Environmental |Education Project Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/EnvironmentalEducationProject/
